Scary pumpkins made of paper mache ^^
Trzy, małe dynie świetnie nadające się do postawienia na kominku, stole lub na ganku.
Największa dynia ma ok. 15 cm wysokości, średnia ok. 12 cm a mała ok. 9 cm.
Three, small pumpkins great to put on the fireplace, the table or on the porch.
The largest pumpkin is about 15 cm in height, medium 12 cm and a small 9 cm.
Zrobiłam je z paper mache. Bazą były gazety, z których zrobiłam kule różnej wielkości, następnie przewiązałam je sznurkiem starając się uzyskać sześć żeber (co jak widać na zdjęciach nie do końca się udało). Powstałą formę obkleiłam około czterema warstwami paper mache i odstawiłam do wyschnięcia.
Po kilku dniach, które im dałam na porządne stwardnienie, przecięłam je na pół i wyjęłam nie potrzebne już formy z gazet. Ten etap nie jest konieczny, ale ze względu na to, że trzymałam je na dworze i nie chowałam na noc bałam się, że mogła w nie wejść pleśń. Po upewnieniu się że wszystko jest w porządku skleiłam dynie gorącym klejem z pistoletu. Mogłam to zrobić obklejając je paper mache, ale wolałam ponownie ich nie moczyć. Powierzchnię wygładziłam papierem ściernym i pomalowałam. Po namalowaniu strasznych min przykleiłam prawdziwe, ususzone łodygi dyni.
Miny dyń można też wyciąć, czego nie zrobiłam z czystego lenistwa.
I made them with paper mache. The base was made out of newspapers, which I formed to three balls of different sizes, then tied them with string trying to get six ribs (which as you can see in the pictures didn't worked). I sealed the resulting form with four layers of paper mache and set aside to dry.
After a few days, which I gave them to harden, I cut them in half and took out no longer needed forms of newspapers. This step is not necessary, but due to the fact that I kept them outdoors and didn't hide them on the night I was afraid that they could have mildew inside. After making sure that everything is all right I glued pumpkins with hot glue gun. I could do it using paper mache, but I preferred not to soak them again. I smoothed the surface with sandpaper and painted them. After painting the scary faces I glued real, dried stems to my pumpkins.
Pumpkin faces can also be cut out. I didn't do it because of my pure laziness.
